MELVIN GRIFFIN

Singer, songwriter, producer and worship leader are just some of the giftings that God has bestowed upon Melvin Griffin. This prolific man of God has astounded audiences worldwide with his inspirational music. Melvin’s humble beginnings have led to tremendous success in his relationship with God and music.

Melvin grew up in a small rural town (Hobgood) in North Carolina. His parents taught him that he could do anything that he put his mind to as long as he worked hard and was persistent. Melvin would often listen to his mother, Evelyn, sing. She was the praise leader at their home church. As a child, Melvin would try to mimic her flawless vocals. Working on his father's farm helped Melvin develop good work ethics that would be essential to his life. Melvin attended the illustrious, Elizabeth City State University (HBCU) and it was during those years, he and his brothers began singing together as Brothers In Unity (B.I.U).

The group traveled all over the U.S. and abroad ministering the word of God in song. Stellar nominations, Best New Artists, Rising Star Awards, and Group of the Year are some of the accolades that the group achieved over the years.

Aside from his artistry, Melvin is currently the Praise and Worship Leader and Music Supervisor at Crown Ministries in Raleigh, NC, under the leadership of Bishop George and Ambassador Dr. Sharon Edmond. He also travels internationally as a Psalmist for where he has performed on the Word Network, Impact Network and Lifeline TV Network. Melvin has an awesome support system in his wife, Vita, and children, Marcus, Melanie and Mya. He is also a member of the prestigious Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and has written an anthem, “I Am Que”, for the organization.

Melvin heard God's voice as well as his leaders and others that prophesied in his life about a solo album. He decided to obey the voice of God and allow those prophesies to manifest in 2018.

His album,”Eight” did extremely well and was in the top 10 on Billboard a few weeks! His new release entitled, Remade, is due to hit all digital outlets real soon. Melvin is looking forward to even greater responses from this new project. Get ready world!!
